At 9:00, the Minnesota State Fire Service Memorial Pipe Band marched in, performed these selections with the Roseville Big Band and marched out again:

17. Grand march (for anyone in costume) followed by swing dancing after the marchers have gone around a couple of times: Armed Forces Medley (first performance of new arr. by Mike Bratlie)

At this point (around 9:20), while the band took a break, Jerry Hahn of the CAF announced the winners of the costume contest and honored the veterans and active military personnel. This fall, ten WWII veterans came forward to be recognized. This was followed by the run-up of the engines of Miss Mitchell, the B-25 bomber.
