The basic CD concept is that with this recording and your imagination, you can be part of the audience at the Roseville Central Park band shell.
We made the original recording at Studio M in March, 1998, and released it later that year in both CD and cassette tape formats. The reissue includes eight bonus tracks recorded in the Roseville Area High School auditorium. The bonus tracks include perennial audience favorites "In the Mood" , "Kiss of Fire (El Choclo)" , "It Had to Be You" , "It Don't mean a Thing if it Ain't Got That Swing" , and "Mas Que Nada" , along with three songs created especially for the Roseville Big Band:
The Roseville Big Band theme song, "Dance to the Big Band Swing" , composed by Glen Newton;
Kirk Lindberg's humorous look at winter in Minnesota, the "Wrong, Wrong Side of the Street;" and
Keith Miner's song for his two young daughters, "Bedtime Look."
