The Minnesota State Fire Service Memorial Pipe Band was established to support the Minnesota Fire Service by performing at Line-of-Duty funerals, memorial services, Fire Department fundraisers, special anniversary celebrations, and other special events.

They have provided support to fire organizations at international, national, and state levels, two state offices and forty Fire Departments across Minnesota. They have also participated in thirteen firefighter’s and paramedic’s funerals.

Some of the special events they have played for include the Governor’s Fire Prevention Awareness Day at the State Fair for several years, the State Fire Marshal’s Office Centennial in 2005, the Governor’s 9-11 Remembrance Service and the Opening Ceremony of the Minnesota Twins 9-11 Tribute in 2006.

In addition, they have performed for many community parades and other non-fire service events, including weddings, anniversaries, and other ceremonies and celebrations.
