Christmas is Just 'Round the Corner Vocal solo with Big Band (November 4, 2012; first performed by the Roseville Big Band at Augustant Chapel View Residence November 27, 2012, with vocalist Karen Dunn) based on the brass band original version; also performed by the After Hours Big Band at the Mall of America, December 21, 2014.
Dance to the Big Band Swing AATB with Big Band (August 21, 1999; premiere performance November 13, 1999, at the 3rd Annual Dance of the Decades) (**)
Barely Bossa Nova Big Band instrumental including piccolo and vibra-slap solos (first Big Band performance August 6, 1991, with Glen Newton playing the piccolo part; also performed by the Roseville Big Band July 4, 1994, with Kris Rusterholz playing the piccolo part; originally written for concert band and premiered by the Roseville Community Band; also scored for orchestra and performed by the St. Anthony Civic Orchestra; and scored for two four-part trombone choirs with percussion and performed by the Minneapolis Trombone Choir.) (Band 1977; orchestra 1978; trombone choir 2004) Big Band version substantially revised July 2024 for concert on July 25.
Brown Wore Black Big Band instrumental including two additional optional trombone parts (one tenor, one bass); Big Band version completed May 15, 2006; premiered by the Roseville Big Band at the May 30, 2006, concert in Como Park. Originally composed for six-part trombone choir with rhythm section (2003).
It's Too Late (for Us to Start Again) Big Band instrumental based on the trombone quintet with rhythm section, Sorta Samba, by Glen Newton (started in 2001, finished in 2002); Big Band version completed July 20, 2003; premiered by the Roseville Big Band at the July 29, 2003, concert in Central Park. Also revised for brass band as Sorta Samba. Later revised and renamed Bobtail Bob, with added horn and bass sax parts, for the July 2, 2019, concert at Como Park
John Henry, Brass-Driving Man Big Band trombone section feature (October 8, 2012; premiere performance November 27, 2012, at Augustana Chapel View Residence) based on the trombone choir and brass band versions.
The Maine Coon Cat Waltz Big Band instrumental based on the trombone choir version; Big Band version completed September 30, 2014; premiered by the Roseville Big Band at the October 19, 2014, at Edinborough Park in Edina; also performed by the After Hours Big Band at the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association convention in Minneapolis on February 6, 2014.
Two By Two Big Band instrumental (May 19, 2012) featuring pairs of players playing 8-bar phrases on the first chorus. In the premiere performance at the Commemorative Air Force dance May 19, 2012, each pair had the same first name.
Two By Two 2019 A revised - somewhat shorter - version of Two By Two after the band had only four pairs of players with the same name (Dan, Glen, Mike/Michael, and Bill); premiered at the June 15, 2019, concert at Beacon Hill Retirement Community.

All Saints Go Marching Out an arrangement of "When the Saints Go Marching In"; September 27, 2014; based on the arrangement for 11-piece brass ensemble with percussion. Big Band version premiered by the Roseville Big Band October 19, 2014, at Edinborough Park in Edina, Minnesota.

Yardbird Suite (two arrangements; one in C, July 31, 1997 for the Twin Cities Jazz Orchestra; the other in B-flat, November 23, 1998, for the Roseville Big Band; the TCJO has not performed it, but the Roseville Big Band performed it for the first time on the July 23, 2002, concert in Central Park. Other early performances were at the September 21, 2002, Commemorative Air Force dance and the January 28, 2003, joint concert with the Nova band at O'Gara's.)
