Saturday, April 18: Big Band Roundhouse Dance sponsored by the Minnesota Transportation Museum, part of "Railroads on Active Duty," a tribute to the men and women who moved goods and people across the country during during Word War II. Jackson Street Roundhouse, 193 Pennsylvania Ave. E., St. Paul 55130. Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for children. Saturday, May 30: Spring Big Band Hangar Dance sponsored by the Commemorative Air Force, in hangar #3 at Fleming Field in S. St. Paul, 8:00-midnight. Click here for directions (instructions and maps, 78K). Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Free swing dance lessons 7:00-7:45 by TC Swing. Special guest appearance by the Rosetones vocal quartet. Dance exhibitions by the Swing Cats. Around 9:30, listen to the run-up of the engines of Miss Mitchell, the CAF's World War II B-25 bomber! Prizes awarded for best uniforms and 40's dress! Saturday, November 21: Children's Hospital Association Sixtieth Annual Ball: CHAnging Lives at the Crowne Plaza Hotel St. Paul-Riverfront. Enjoy cocktails starting at 6:30, then dance to the Roseville Big Band before dinner when the doors to the Minnesota Ballroom open at 7:30. Special guest appearance by the Rosetones vocal quartet. Enjoy dinner music and dancing to the Roseville Big Band until 11:00, followed by dancing to the Brian Kinney Band until 1:00 a.m. upstairs in the Great River Ballroom. Sunday, June 7: Concert in the Park at Roseville Central Park band shell, corner of Lexington and Co. Rd. C, 7:45-8:30 p.m. as part of a celebration to honor Frank Rog, former mayor of Roseville and 27-year head of Parks and Recreation. Other events in the celebration: 5:00 - Roseville School of Dance; 5:30 - Roseville String Ensemble; 6:00 - Tribute to Frank Rog - "I Did It My Way"; 6:45 - Roseville Community Band; puppet wagon shows at 5:00, 5:30, and 7:00 p.m. Click here for the song list. Tuesday, June 16: Concert in the Park at Roseville Central Park band shell, corner of Lexington and Co. Rd. C, 7:30-8:55 p.m. Guest artist vocalists Emily Huemann, Anna Hyytinen, Allison Wolf, William Rice, and Scott Senko.
