Carleton 2009: Fantasy

The Roseville Big Band performed at the Carleton College Mid-Winter Dance, February 7, 2009. Dancers and listeners enjoyed the wide variety of music the band played.
Students played Latin percussion instruments with Karen and the band on "Besame Mucho" and "El Cumbanchero."
Dan Theobald plunged into his solo on "Hard-Hearted Hannah", which featured pianist Brian Dole.
Kay Foster soloed on soprano sax on "I'm Going to Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter," which featured vocalist Karen Dunn.
Dave Tuenge on drums, Carl Berger on guitar, and Mike Wobig on electric bass made the beat go on.
Dan Desmonds, tenor sax; Rich Eyman, trombone; and Glen Peterson, tenor sax, all played solos during the evening.
Glen Newton played trumpet solos and covered the bass trombone parts while bass trombonist Keith Miner sang.
During the band's breaks, students flocked to the DJ in the Great Space in Sayles-Hill Campus Center.
