At the July 31, 2001, concert, David Blomquist became the youngest person to perform as a member of the Roseville Big Band.

A member of the Roseville Area High School class of 2004, David plays in bands and jazz bands at the high school and also is active in dramatics. You may have seen him playing the title role in the Rosetown Players' production of the comedy "Lucky Stiff" in the summer of 2000.

David began playing drum set the summer after fifth grade. His set has smaller-than-usual tom-toms, for a lighter jazz sound. Outside of school, he has played in a jazz combo with his brother Eric Blomquist and a rock band.
