In addition to subbing in the Roseville Big Band, before moving to Florida Peter played trumpet in the
Swing Beat big band, the Good News
Big Band, and the Plymouth Community Concert Band, among others. He also does freelance jazz
and commercial work in the Twin Cities area and Florida, playing trumpet, piccolo
trumpet, and flugelhorn.
From 1975 through 1987, while he was earning his music education degree from
Northwestern University and in the next decade afterward, Peter played in commercial,
Latin, and jazz bands in the Chicago area.
