Peter Davis

Peter played second trumpet while Kim Kermes played third at the July 10, 2001, rehearsal. Peter Davis and Kim Kermes play trumpets.
Peter plays the trumpet. Peter improvised a solo on "And I Just Swung In" during the rehearsal.
At the September 4, 2001, rehearsal Harvey Skow, Peter, Mark Lee, and Dan Theobald played a plunger-muted passage. The section plays an open note.

Former Role in Roseville Big Band: 

Lead and third trumpet; Peter also doubles on flugelhorn.

In addition to subbing in the Roseville Big Band, Peter plays trumpet in the Swing Beat big band, the Good News Big Band, and the Plymouth Community Concert Band. He also does freelance jazz and commercial work in the Twin Cities area, playing trumpet, piccolo trumpet, and flugelhorn.

From 1975 through 1987, while he was earning his music education degree from Northwestern University and in the next decade afterward, Peter played in commercial, Latin, and jazz bands in the Chicago area.

He also has done some horn section arranging for a local corporate rhythm and blues band.
