Curtis Shaffer

Curtis performed the role of Benny Southstreet in "Guys and Dolls."

Curtis performed with the Roseville Big Band on the July 4, 2008, concert, soloing on "Come Fly with Me" and "It's Not Unusual," singing lead on "Ain't Misbehavin'," and joining with Karen Dunn and Keith Miner on "America the Beautiful."

A 2008 graduate of Champlin Park High School (CPHS), Curtis was actively involved in the music program and was voted the Outstanding Senior from the CPHS choirs. He sang in the All-Conference Choir in his junior and senior years and served as president of the CPHS Concert Choir.

Curtis was also a member of the District 279 Children's Honor Choir and the 10th Grade State Honor Choir.

Curtis sang baritone in CPHS vocal jazz ensemble and was featured prominently in Ovation 2007 and Ovation 2008. You might recall his solos on "Razzle Dazzle" in 2007 and "Hey Jude" in 2008. Click here to see a YouTube video of "Hey Jude" in a separate browser window.

Curtis' roles in musicals have included Lefou in "Beauty and the Beast," Cholet in "Phantom of the Opera," Benny Southstreet in "Guys and Dolls," and Sancho in "Man of La Mancha."
