On the July 19, 1994, Roseville Big Band Central Park concert, Stephanie sang alto on "Moonglow" and "I've Got a Gal in Kalamazoo" in a vocal quartet that eventually became the Rosetones. On the July 4, 1995, concert, she sang alto on "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" along with Mary Lou Peterman on lead and Cindy Geiger on soprano.
Stephanie's first direct involvement with the Roseville Big Band was as the video director for the North Suburban Community Television (Channel 33) video production of the band's July 26, 1988, concert and as the primary videographer for the television documentary "Roseville Big Band Behind the Scenes" which aired on Channel 33 in August, 1988. (Channel 33 later became CTV15.)
In addition to singing, Stephanie is a talented violinist and violist and plays folk guitar. A 1991 graduate of Roseville Area High School (RAHS), she played violin in the RAHS Symphony Orchestra and viola in the Minnesota Youth Symphonies Symphony Orchestra. She also sang both soprano and alto in the RAHS Concert Choir.
While studying geological engineering at Michigan Technological University, she starred in the musical "A - My Name is Alice", sang 2nd soprano in the Michigan Tech Jazz Singers, and played viola in the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra in Houghton, Michigan.
While living in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Stephanie kept involved in music by playing viola in the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra. She also played viola and sang soprano and alto at First Presbyterian Church, and with her husband Toby she played violin and sang for the contemporary worship services at St. John's Catholic Church in Bartlesville. She also continued the pit orchestra performing that she began as a violinist for the RAHS production of "Once Upon a Mattress".
