Larry and Betty at Central Park in 2003

Larry and Betty Thomas were the featured dancers for the Roseville Big Band's July 29, 2003, concert in Central Park. The pictures above show them posing and warming up there. During the concert they were featured in several different costumes dancing several different styles, to the music of "Stompin' at the Savoy", "Four", "Moon River", "Makin' Whoopie" and "Y.M.C.A."

The audience was thrilled by their dramatic and graceful dancing, with each set of moves chosen to complement the music performed by the Roseville Big Band. The crowd's appreciation of this visual aspect of the performance was illustrated by one teenage audience member, schooled several years in jazz, ballet, and tap dancing, who had her eyes opened to the energy and fun of swing dancing during the concert and came to the band shell afterward to meet Larry and Betty.
