Jake Olsen

Jake played a solo on "Lil' Darlin'" at St. Bonaventure's.

Jake played trumpet at St. Odilia's along with Roseville Big Band director Glen Newton, bass sub Ron Rasmussen, and baritone sax sub Ellen Sorenson.

Jake is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education.  During his time there, he performed in a variety of instrumental ensembles including the Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, jazz combos, as well as several brass quintets and trumpet ensembles.  With the NDSU trumpet ensemble, he performed at the International Trumpet Guild conference three times, the most recent in 2015 as a natural trumpet ensemble.  Today, he performs in the Twin Cities area for churches and weddings. Jake plays the Eb soprano cornet parts in the Twin Cities Brass Band.

Jake first performed with the Roseville Big Band at the November 11, 2017, Military Appreciation Dinner and Dance at St. Bonaventure's Ambrose Hall.
