Dick Miller

Dick first performed with the band at the 2017 9/11 Memorial Walk.

In Naples, Florida, Dick plays trumpet and flugelhorn with the Gulf Coast Big Band, Naples Big Band, Brass Music Elements Brass Quintet and The Naples Concert Band.

Minnesota audience may recognize Dick as the principal flugelhorn player in the Lake Wobegon Brass Band; he is one of the original members of the group. European audiences might recognize him from his tours as the flugelhorn player with the Mississippi River Brass Band in 2013 and 2017 as well as the Lake Wobegon Brass Band's European tours. He is the organizer of the Mississippi River Brass Band tours.

Dick plays with the Twin Cities Trumpet Ensemble and does free lance playing in the Twin Cities area.

In the mid seventies, Dick directed the Roseville Community Band. He also played with the North Metropolitan Brass Quintet for over thirty years.  

Prior to starting his own financial advisory firm, Dick taught in the Mounds View Public Schools, including teaching at Chippewa Middle School, Highview Middle School and many of the elementary schools in the district.
