Bridgett Bowen

Bridgett's formal portrait emphasizes her concert singing style.

Bridgett's first performance with the Roseville Big Band was on the July 26, 2005, concert in Central Park, where she soloed on Nora Jones' "Don't Know Why" and sang trios with Karen Dunn and Glen Newton on "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and "Bei Mir Bist du Schoen."

Throughout the years, Bridgett has been very actively involved in music. As a child, she took piano, guitar and cello lessons, but her primary musical activities were vocal. In high school, she sang in triple trios, state solo contents, and other school performances. She also sang with the Eau Claire, Wisconsin, 1st Congregational Church choirs and the Eau Claire Memorial Concert choir (2nd Soprano), as well as in many other venues over the years.

Bdigett's enjoyment for singing in front of crowds developed from being a YMCA camp counselor, leading children in song morning, noon and night, day in and day out.

Then in the 1990's, along came Karaoke and Bridgett found that it was her niche. In her second attempt, she entered a Karaoke contest in her local area, sang "Wedding Bell Blues" with gusto, and won $25.00. She was hooked! Since then she has often sung Karaoke, including taking 3rd place in a recent Karaoke Clash with 26 participants and winning the opportunity to cut a CD that includes "Don't Know Why."
