Michael Okwabi

Michael co-conducted the combined bands in the Eden Paririe Band Festival.
Michael played a bass trombone solo on "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" at the November 6, 2012, rehearsal.

Michael first performed with the Roseville Big Band at the November 27, 2012, Augustana Chapel View Residence Concert. He is a band director in the Eden Prairie School District and serves as the low brass coordinator for the Eden Prairie Eagle Marching Band. He is also a private instructor of low brass and a freelance musician in the Twin Cities. Currently he is the bass trombonist of the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra, Mississippi Valley Orchestra and the Jazz Hounds. He has also performed with the Metropolitan Trombone Choir in Minneapolis.

Michael earned a Bachelor in Music Education from West Virginia University and an M.M. degree in Music Performance from Florida State University.
