Joey McKay

Joey rehearsed "All My Rowdy Friends" at Champlin Park High School.
Joey sang one of many "hi-de-ho"s at the July 26, 2011, Roseville Big Band rehearsal, in preparation for the August 2, 2011, concert in Central Park..

A 2011 graduate of Champlin Park High School (CPHS), Joey played violin in the orchestra and sang first tenor in the choir. He was also active in musical theater, performing in Man of La Mancha, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Sweeney Todd, and Singin' in the Rain.

Joey was also a featured vocal soloist in the CPHS Ovation musical extravaganzas directed by Laura Tempel:

Ovation 2008: British Invasion - solo on "Satisfaction"
Ovation 2009: Swing Time - solo on "Minnie the Moocher" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXojut_yOgs - Joey sang the second verse)
Ovation 2010: Totally Awesome 80s! - solos on "Let's Go Crazy," "Jump," and "Footloose"
Ovation 2011: Primetime Live - solos on the Happy Days theme and "All My Rowdy Friends (Monday Night Football)"

Joey first performed with the Roseville Big Band at the May 21, 2011, Commemorative Air Force hangar dance, joining Nick Kingdon to sing "Minnie the Moocher."
