Trombone Family Demonstration

The page below is a handout that Glen Newton provided for the students at Tesseract in Eagan, Minnesota. The audience consisted of students in pre-school through eighth grade and their teachers and some parents, so the demonstration lasted about 15 minutes, to suit the younger students' attention spans. For most of the students, this was their first introduction to the members of the trombone family.

Click here to see and hear Glen play the song "Bye Bye Blackbird" on the bass, soprano, alto, and tenor trombones (with and without plunger mute) as part of the demonstration.

The top picture shows Glen in front of the audience; the bottom of the sheet includes the graphic from the "Trombone Family" page.
