Performing the Guilmant Morceau Symphonique

When the Roseville Community Band under director Bob Lancette went to Cragun's for a retreat and clinics, they played concerts that included two brass soloists. Clinician Bob Kase played "Carnival of Venice" on the trumpet and Glen Newton played Alexandre Guilmant's "Morceau Symphonique" on the euphonium.

On the trip, Glen played in the tuba section, switching to euphonium only for his solo.

He also performed the solo at a concert in Lauderdale that summer.
