Roseville Big Band Events in 2004

Year 2004 Roseville Big Band Public Dances:

Saturday, March 20: Joint show and dance with City of Lakes Chorus at the Radisson Riverfront Hotel in St. Paul. The show starts at 8:00. Seating is limited, but tickets will be availble at the door if the show is not sold out. Food will be available for purchase during the cabaret-style show, and there will be a cash bar. TC Swing Cats are the featured exhibition dancers, and the Rosetones vocal quartet is featured in the band segments. Ticket price includes swing dance lessons by TC Swing from 7-8 p.m., City of Lakes/ Roseville Big Band show, and Afterglow from 10:30 - 12:30 featuring entertainment by 4-Star Collection and other area barbershop quartets. Saturday, May 15: Spring Big Band Hangar Dance sponsored by the Commemorative Air Force, in hangar #3 at Fleming Field in S. St. Paul, 8:00-midnight. Click here for directions (instructions and maps, 78K). Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Free swing dance lessons 7:00-7:45. Swing dance spotlight performances during the evening by the TC Swing Cats dancers. Costume contest. Silent auction with aviation art, landscape art, electronics, aircraft rides, automobiles and more, ending at 10:00 p.m. Admission is $8 at the door, $7 in advance. Friday, July 2: Central Park Foundation 40th Anniversary Celebration at the Roseville Central Park band shell, corner of Lexington and Co. Rd. C. Big band dance 8:00-10:00 p.m., preceded by a 7:00 concert by the Roseville Community Band and a 6:00 p.m. performance by Dan Kuch's combo. Click here to see the song list.  
Saturday, September 18: Bomber's Moon Ball sponsored by the Commemorative Air Force, in hangar #3 at Fleming Field in S. St. Paul, 8:00-midnight, with the Rosetones vocal quartet. Note: The Roseville Community Band's 40th Anniversary Dance, previously scheduled for Saturday, October 9, has been cancelled.  
Saturday, November 20: Children's Hospital Association Fifty-fifth Annual Ball, "The Emerald Ball", at the Radisson Riverfront in St. Paul. Enjoy cocktails starting at 6:30, then dance to the Roseville Big Band before dinner when the doors to the Minnesota Ballroom open at 7:30. Enjoy dinner music and dancing to the Roseville Big Band, with the Rosetones special guest vocal quartet, until 10:00. Then go upstairs to the Garden Court for the dessert buffet and dance until 1:00 a.m. to The R-Factor in the Great River Ballroom. Tickets are $150 per person, $75 junior (21-35 years of age). Saturday, June 12: Ice Cream Social at Beacon Hill Retirement Community, 5330 Beacon Hill Road in Minnetonka, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Click here for the song list. Between dances, Beacon Hill residents played Latin percussion with the Roseville Big Band.
Saturday, June 26: Edison High School Class of 1954 50th Reunion at Earl Brown Center, 8:00 p.m. - midnight. Click here for the song list.. A couple dances near the end of the evening.
