In the Break Room at Carleton College

Band members relaxed between the third and fourth sets at the February 3, 2001, Carleton College Mid-Winter Dance.

From left to right: Harvey Skow, Keith Miner, Kim Kermes, Mark Lee, Glen Peterson, and Bill Frank.

On the chair in the foreground is a star with the room key attached, a clever device to help director Glen Newton avoid misplacing the key, as he did the previous year until finding it in his pocket!

The band's bag of blue ties and cummerbunds is on the table in the foreground.

Roseville Big Band members relax in comfortable chairs.

Our Carleton College hosts stock the break room with sandwich fixings, veggies, water, and soft drinks, so that band members, most of whom left the Twin Cities between 5:30 and 6:15 in the evening, can have a light supper before beginning to play at 9:00 p.m.
